When I fly in from California to shoot in Long Island, I know I’m in for something special—but this masterclass with choreographer Alex Lund at True Dance Potential was something else entirely.

Held in the heart of Long Island, this hip hop workshop brought together an incredible mix of talent—including dancers from St. Anthony’s High School, Syosset, Hamlet, Huntington High School, Massapequa High School, and even Hofstra University. These students came ready to learn, push boundaries, and perform—and I had the honor of capturing every beat.

From the very first 8-count to the final performance, I photographed and filmed it all. Alex Lund brought her signature energy and musicality to the studio, pushing the dancers to dig deep and express themselves fully. The vibe in the room was electric—pure focus, full-out movement, and nonstop passion.

But the best part? Once I edited the performance videos, the dancers immediately began sharing them across Instagram, tagging their schools, their studio, and of course, Alex. Watching their hard work go live, gain traction, and boost their confidence online is exactly why I love doing this.
