When Movement Refuses to Be Forgotten
Some dancers leave an impression the first time you photograph them. Others leave it every single time. Olivia Candio has always been the second kind.
There’s an ease to Olivia that you can’t teach. She shows up happy, open, and genuinely excited to be there — every time. No matter what’s asked of her, she’s all in. New idea? She’s ready. Something different? She’s already smiling. That willingness, paired with her work ethic, is what makes her stand out.
I’ve photographed and filmed Olivia across multiple sessions, and what’s consistent is how much she gives to the work. The training behind her movement is obvious. The hours, the repetition, the discipline — it all shows. But what really sets her apart is that she never loses the joy. She works incredibly hard, and she still finds fun in the process.
That combination has taken her far — and it’s only just beginning.
Olivia recently became a Junior Ambassador for Kids Artistic Revue, a major accomplishment with one of the top dance competition companies in the industry. It’s a role that fits her perfectly, not just because of her talent, but because of the energy and positivity she brings wherever she goes.
Her dance journey has already taken her coast to coast — from New York to California — for photoshoots, video projects, conventions, and awards. Watching her grow through each of those moments has been incredibly rewarding. Every session reflects progress, confidence, and a deeper understanding of who she is as an artist.
Many of these sessions took place alongside her training at True Dance Potential, an environment that continues to support dancers who are willing to put in the work and chase something bigger.
What feels gone in an instant, film keeps alive. Some movement deserves to outlast time — and Olivia’s does.
Olivia, I’m so proud of you. Thank you for trusting me, for bringing your joy into every shoot, and for showing up with the same heart every single time. You deserve everything that’s coming your way.
Let's Connect
I work with dancers and studios across the United States, creating portrait and movement imagery that documents growth, discipline, and individuality. If you’re looking to capture moments that matter — wherever you’re based — I’d love to connect.
